Twin-Star recalls space heaters due to fire and burn hazards

The Duraflame electric space heaters have been recalled by Twin-Star due to the fact that the heater can overheat and cause the units to melt, catch fire and ignite nearby items. Approximately 31,000 of these units have been recalled because they pose a fire and burn hazard to consumers.

Twin-Star has received 32 reports of the heaters burning or melting, including eight of which have caught fire, one resulting in property damage. Consumers should immediately turn off and unplug the electric space heater and contact Twin-Star at (855) 884-9651 for a full refund.
