Target Recalls Giada De Larentiis Lasagna Pan Due to Laceration Hazard

Target has collaborated with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission to announce a voluntary recall on April 24, 2013 for Giada De Larentiis Lasagna Pans.

In accordance to the safety notice, the lasagna pans are at risk to break, causing sharp edges and posing a laceration hazard.

About 148,700 lasagna pans were sold nationwide in Target stores from January 2009 through October 2012. Target has received 39 reports of the pan and/or its handles breaking or creaking during normal use. Cuts and lacerations were reported in only six of those 39 incidents.

The recall involves Giada De Laurentiis-branded ceramic lasagna pans. The cream-colored pans are 9 by 13 inches in size and were sold individually, as well as part of a six-piece set. The bottom of the pan is stamped “Giada de Laurentiis for Target”. These pans were exclusively sold in Target. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lasagna pans and return them to any target store for a full refund. Consumers who purchased the pan as part of the six-piece set should return the lasagna pan only.
